This volume contains journal and ledger account entries for supplies purchased for the Ala. volunteers in the Confederate Army and for Ala.'s contribution to the Confederate Army. The volume is divided into parts. Part one consists of journal-type daily entries for supplies indicating the purchaser, the goods purchased, the date and place of purchase, and from whom purchased. The middle section of the volume consists of ledger-type accounts for such items as pork, hay, soap, vinegar, salt, rice, and corn. The final section of the volume consists of the journal-type entries once again. The volume is only one-third used indicating that its contents were probably transferred to another record.
